Mrs. Uzochukwu Maureen Amaechi is a dedicated administrative and finance professional with extensive experience in public health research management. She currently serves as Administrative Secretary at the Society for Public Health and Social Development, where she leads finance and administrative operations supporting large-scale health research initiatives across Nigeria and Africa. With a strong background in accounting and organizational leadership, she manages project budgets, ensures regulatory compliance, coordinates stakeholder engagement, and supports high-quality research implementation. Her work has contributed to impactful studies addressing hypertension, diabetes, salt consumption, elderly health care, and other non-communicable diseases. She plays a key administrative role in supporting the African Regional Advisory Group of the International Society of Hypertension (ISH), facilitating collaboration, training programs, and cross-border research partnerships. She holds an HND in Accounting and is fluent in English and Igbo. Her passion lies in strengthening institutional systems, promoting accountability, and advancing public health research through efficient financial and administrative management.
