Harrison Abone

Dr. Abone is a distinguished pharmaceutical executive, systems strategist, and public sector reform leader. He holds a PhD in Pharmaceutical Microbiology and Biotechnology, alongside an MBA, and brings over 27 years of progressive leadership across pharmaceutical marketing, pharmacovigilance, quality assurance, supply chain management, and large-scale health systems development. Throughout his career, Dr. Harrison has successfully led multimillion-dollar ethical pharmaceutical marketing and sales projects, consistently exceeding revenue and performance targets through disciplined project management methodologies and high-performing team leadership. As Country Head and Associate General Manager of Medical Marketing at Eli-Lilly/CHI Pharmaceuticals, he delivered record-breaking institutional growth and built integrated systems spanning warehousing, logistics, regulatory compliance, and pharmacovigilance. He also served as Local Qualified Person for Pharmacovigilance, strengthening safety reporting frameworks and regulatory compliance systems. Currently, Dr. Harrison serves as Special Assistant to the Governor of Anambra State on Medicals and Pharmaceuticals, where he leads transformative initiatives including a 200-hectare Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Park in Ndikelionwu and a 50-hectare Coordinated Wholesale Distribution Hub in Oba. His work bridges public policy, private investment, and pharmaceutical ecosystem development. A Fellow of the American Academy of Project Management and recipient of multiple national recognitions, Dr. Harrison is deeply committed to pharmaceutical systems strengthening through capacity building, human resource development, and sustainable business architecture.
